Lauderdale by the sea

The Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is governed by a five member Town Commission, elected at large on a non-partisan basis.

The Town's mayor serves a two-year term and commissioners four-year terms.
Municipal elections, held in March of even numbered years,
are held for the expiring seats of mayor and two commissioners.  

It is the the Town Commission's responsibility to adopt an annual
budget and millage rate, establish Town policy through enactment of ordinances and resolutions, and authorize Town contracts.  

Under Town Charter provisions, the Town Commission appoints
a Town Manager responsible for the administration of policy and the management of the Town's services, departments, and facilities.  

Town Commission meetings are held on the second  and fourth Tuesday of every month.
